Growing Soybeans
Canadian soybean production has expanded beyond the traditional growing area of southern Ontario with the introduction of new early-maturing varieties. In the 2020 year, the crop has become an everyday part of the rotation on many farms in Manitoba, Quebec, and the Maritimes. It also covers Saskatchewan and parts of Alberta.
The soybean is now the third most important crop in Canada. With the growing production and processing of soybeans in Canada, the country has become an important soybean supplier and soybeans have become a large part of the Canadian economy.
